Digital Marketing Cost in Pakistan (2026): Monthly Budgets by Business Size

September 17, 2026 · 7 min read

Ask five agencies in Pakistan what digital marketing costs and you will get five answers between PKR 15,000 and PKR 500,000 a month. None of them is lying. "Digital marketing" covers social media, paid ads, SEO, content and a website, and most quotes bundle a different mix of those without saying which parts are missing.

This guide splits the cost the way you should budget it: what you pay the agency, what you pay Meta and Google, and what a sensible starting point looks like for a salon, clinic, restaurant or other local service business.

The two numbers every quote should separate

**Agency fee.** What the team charges for strategy, design, writing, filming, posting and reporting. This is the retainer.

**Ad spend.** Money paid directly to Meta or Google to show your ads. It should sit on your own card, in your own ad account, and never be quietly absorbed into the retainer.

A quote that says "PKR 60,000 including ads" tells you nothing. It could be PKR 55,000 of work and PKR 5,000 of reach, or the reverse. Ask for the split in writing.

Monthly agency fees by scope

**PKR 15,000 - 35,000.** Usually one platform, 8 to 12 posts from templates, captions, and scheduling. Little or no original photography or video. Fine for staying visible, rarely enough to change how many enquiries you get.

**PKR 40,000 - 90,000.** The band most established local businesses should shop in. Two platforms, 12 to 20 posts including Reels shot or edited for you, a monthly content plan, basic ad management, and a report that shows enquiries rather than just likes.

**PKR 100,000 - 250,000.** Social, paid ads and SEO run together, regular shoot days, landing pages, and someone tracking cost per lead across channels. Worth it for multi-branch businesses or anyone whose revenue depends heavily on online bookings.

**PKR 300,000 and above.** Enterprise retainers: large content volumes, several brands or cities, influencer programmes and dedicated account teams. Most small businesses do not need this and should be wary of being sold it.

Ad spend: how much is enough

Meta ads in Pakistan are cheap by global standards, which is why small budgets can still work. For a local business targeting one city, PKR 15,000 to PKR 40,000 a month is a practical starting range. Below roughly PKR 10,000 the platform struggles to learn who responds, and results swing wildly from week to week.

Google Search ads cost more per click but catch people already looking for your service. A clinic or salon can test with PKR 20,000 to PKR 50,000 a month on tightly chosen search terms.

Treat the first two months as testing. Judge ads on cost per enquiry or booking, not reach or impressions.

SEO is the slow line item

SEO retainers in Pakistan typically start around PKR 30,000 to PKR 40,000 a month. The work is real, covering technical fixes, content and local listings, but it takes three to six months before rankings move enough to matter.

For most local businesses the cheapest high-return SEO step is free: a complete, active Google Business Profile with real photos, correct hours and a steady flow of reviews. Do that before paying anyone a monthly SEO fee.

One-time costs that sit outside the retainer

Retainers assume the foundations already exist. If they do not, budget separately for them.

**Brand identity:** a logo, colours and templates so your content looks consistent. Covered in our branding cost guide.

**Website:** somewhere for ads and search traffic to land. See website cost in Pakistan.

**Shoot days:** PKR 15,000 to PKR 60,000 each if not included, depending on crew and editing.

A realistic starting budget

For a single-location salon, spa, clinic or restaurant, a workable monthly budget in 2026 looks like this: PKR 40,000 to PKR 70,000 for content and account management, plus PKR 15,000 to PKR 30,000 in ad spend. That is roughly PKR 55,000 to PKR 100,000 all in.

Spend less and you are mostly paying for presence. Spend more before the basics are working and you are paying to send traffic to a profile or website that does not convert it.

Questions to ask before signing

How many posts and Reels per month, and who shoots them? Is ad spend separate, and is the ad account in my name? What do you report, and is it enquiries or just engagement? What is the minimum term, and what happens to my content and accounts if I leave?

If an agency cannot answer those clearly, the price does not matter yet.

We publish our packages openly and scope work around the enquiries you want, not a post count. See social media management in Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad.
